By adding weatherstripping to your doors, you are helping to eliminate air loss. Every little bit adds up! When you rid your home of air leaks, your energy bill will decrease. Follow the steps below to replace weatherstripping.

1. Carefully cut the old, worn out weatherstripping if it exists and pry it off. Use a utility knife to cut away the old and use a painters tool or flat head screw driver to pry.
2. Cut new aluminum weatherstripping to fit under door properly.
3. Sand the door jam smooth with 100 grit sand paper.
4. Line the weatherstripping up where you plan to install it and mark where the screws will go. Remove weatherstripping and drill pilot holes where screws are to go.
5. Put weatherstripping back in place and screw in.
6. Place foam weatherstripping on sides of door jamb and head jamb.
